The Insight

In oncology, the pace is unrelenting. New science emerges daily. Insights evolve in real time. And the drive toward what's next never slows. At global congresses, that momentum only intensifies–breakthrough data, nonstop innovation, and a flood of conversation competing for attention.

But in the rush to advance care, one thing is almost always missing: the chance to reflect and remember why this work matters.

The Experience

At the largest global oncology congress, Daiichi Sankyo created a living space to slow the world down–offering a moment of stillness and renewed focus on what matters most: patients.

Anchored by the cherry blossom tree, a powerful symbol of renewal, resilience, and shared growth, we invited attendees to honor the people behind the work through dedicated messages written on seed-embedded paper tags. What began as a personal act of remembrance quickly grew into a collective expression of hope—one dedication at a time, carried forward from one congress to the next.

The Impact

The response was immediate and unforgettable. Attendees didn't just participate; they felt the moment. With more than two thousand dedication tags collected over multiple congresses, the space became a destination for reflection, connection, and meaning at the heart of oncology's most intense environment.

And we didn't let that purpose end. Each seed-embedded dedication tag was carefully gathered to be planted, allowing the experience to live on and grow into an enduring reminder that purpose grows when it's nurtured together.
